What year did you graduate?

2007.

What was your favorite class?

Automotive. Can I change that to my favorite department? Industrial Tech because this school has developed programs to set students up for a successful future.

Any favorite teachers?

I did, Mr. Thiel.

He’s really cool.

He’s really inspirational.

Are there any classes we have now that you wish you had in high school?

I wish I had taken more writing classes because writing’s such a large part of every profession that even just one writing class can set you up for success. You have to be able to read for information and you have to be able to write.

How has the school itself changed?

Yes, we have a more diverse range of classes available to students for more career paths. It’s more student-centered education.

Anything you hope to see in a few years?

I would like to see more classes catered toward in-demand career paths.

Like what?

Manufacturing, automotives, technology, programming, (Computer Programming’s a second language – it’s a huge part of society), and building trades.

Any good Homecoming memories?

My senior year I went to the Homecoming dance and asked a girl to dance. Twelve years later, we are married and have two children.

Any fun high school events or memories?

My fondest memory in high school was my senior year of football. We went to playoffs that year. The amount of energy in that stadium was unforgettable.
