Orange and Black Night Event

September 2, 2021
Friday, September 20th was CLC’s annual Orange and Black Day. Walking through the halls, you could see students, teachers, and staff dressed head to toe in extreme orange and black gear. With a shortened schedule, everyone attended the spirit assembly outside in the football stadium. There, the CLC crazies spoke and led cheers, the CLC Tiger Band played pep tunes, and the cheer and dance teams performed incredible performances. Later that evening, the football players had a scrimmage for the crowd of spectators and the Tiger Marching Band performed a halftimeperformance with Motown music like Get Ready, Dancing In The Street, I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch), and Reach Out And I’ll Be There.
As the evening continued on, it was finally time for everyone’s favorite event, the color throw. Each individual was handed either an orange or black bag full of powder, which we all proceeded to throw into the air on the practice field. Subsequently, the dust settled to reveal countless people full of orange and black powder. Overall, Orange and Black Day was once again a memorable occasion.
