Whiplash (2014), directed by Damien Chazelle, follows jazz drummer Andrew Neiman played by Miles Teller as he tries to become a great musician and reach the top of the music group. His group is led by Terence Fletcher, played by J.K Simmons, who is a strict and cruel man who uses terrifying teaching punishments. Determined to get to the top and become the greatest, Andrew pushes himself to crazy lengths that begin to cause physical and mental harm.

Whiplash is an extremely good movie that is very fast-paced and will keep you on the edge of your seat. The use of color and cinematography is used so well, making Whiplash very entertaining. Its anxiety-inducing storytelling combined with its fast-tempo music will get you hooked and wanting to watch more.

Whiplash is also number 33 on the top 100 movies of all time list created by IMDb. Whiplash is available to watch on Peacock with a subscription or can be rented for $2.99 on Amazon Prime.
